Hi i think a while back i said i got the wife a tino. I have a couple of question. 1. I belive this has a cambelt when does it need changing. Car has done 32k. 2. When looking at the engine it has a belt on the left this sound like it is sqealing when engine running would this be the belt or something esle.
Cheers Paul.

I am pretty sure it has a Cam Chain like the Micra etc not a Cambelt mate.

Forgot the second question ooops.. The belt you can see will be the Auxbelt/Fanbelt. They sometimes squeal when the tension needs tightening or needs a new belt.

I think the Cam Chain is supposed to be a life thing, so no changing intervals.. But, with the Micra''s anyway at about 53 plate there was a problem with the tension. I did one not long ago which was a pain in the arse that Nissan wanted £1500 to put right... So an expensive job, to keep in mind if buying one......

Are they not the MR engine which is timing chain based?

The squaling may be the aux belt and the casue could be a failing ancillary, buggered tensioner or knackered belt

Scratch that, its the QG engine.

Still timing chain based but less reliable
