recived parts today if you are reading this andy will post back the other ones when thay turn up,as their is only 2 cam covers on engine i recived to bags with black rubber gaskets,and thier is two in each bag does this mean one on engine and one in cam cover,which thay mate together.
and can admin add the torque wrench to the list of tools in the Maintenance Guide

I've only done this job once and it was a few years ago, so I apologise in advance if I get this wrong!
Is there not a gasket for each camshaft, ie 4 gaskets? Don't forget that although there are only two camshaft covers, there are four cams. The gaskets just go onto the housing, not on the cover as well. To help me think, what size / shape are the gaskets you have received? Of course the gaskets could be joined in pairs, and that's why I'm asking.

I think you have the correct parts. Some version of cam cover gaskets are joint together, e.g. one part per bank and some(new?) version has separate gasket for each "cam", so there will be four parts. You'll figure that out once you have the covers opened.

Yes one pack of Cam gaskets, Pt No 90511451 is for each cover so two of 90511451 is enough to do both backs

i get it now,all done problems i found,this car had both head gaskets done at 93000 its on 105000 now, and cam belt thermostat cam gasket covers, invoice from last owner £1500 under warrenty and 800 he had to pay. it had different set of plugs normal on left and the four prong ones on right.cam gaskets wher made of silcone passenger side middle plug was hanging out,think this was causing eml to be on,as its off now plugs full of oil,them little washers that go where the screw goes through had different types in their,took me 5 hours went for a test drive got smoke pouring out from somewhere and it sounds like the tappets have gone,not that bad but louder then before,its dark now will have a look friday

Head gaskets done on a 3.2... would not be suprised at a wrong diagnosis there mate. To do the head gaskets the cam covers have to be removed, if the cam covers are leaking which from your coil packs they look like they are the garage where the work was done have not done a great job in my opinion.

As for plugs, the four prong ones are the right plugs for a 2.6 & 3.2.

Smoke pouring out.... If you have fitted new cam cover gaskets you may have not seated them properly in which case oil is finding its way to something hot, or old oil is burning off.

The smoke could be from residual oil laying arround When I had the covers done on my last omega at a garage when they did a test drive you could not see the car for smoke.but they were Ok

yes passenger side was a pain gasket fell of twice  put dabs of silcone to hold it,will give it a good drive and see what happens,but if i have to redo it its not that bad of a job.

proper black stuff only a few dabs just to hold gasket everytime i put cover upside down gasket fell out,jet washed engine today had long drive and all is ok no leaks,must have been old stuff burning off.
