Recoding remote keys

Is it possible to to take keys from one car and reset the remote to work on my car X reg 2.2 petrol auto and replace key in the new remote with my key. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Keys can be reprogrammed, you need tech2 & the immobiliser code for your car. Blank blades can be had from eBay  :y

it will be on the key card,if you havnt got 1 then you will have to go to vauxhall stealers show v5 and order it

As above, you need the "car pass" - You can get this from a Vx/Opel dealer. Around £15-70, cost varies widely between the dealers.

Remote fob, always able to program to different (and multiple) cars.

Transponders, not always

I picked up a new Fob yesterday and need to pop over to see you again sometime , I am not convinced  I still have the correct one though there are two Megamo types for mine one with alarm and one without he thought it is the one with, which I have bought

There about five different fobs.

Without alarm, Kiekert

3 button

With alarm, Megamos 1998-2000
2 button

With alarm, Megamos 2000-2003
2 button
3 button
