Cough & splutter when cold??? Help
« on: 03 January 2012, 16:17:20 »

I seem to have developed a bit of a problem when my car is running from cold, its only just manifested itself over the last few days. First start in the morning it starts fine, no problems whatsoever. Select drive and pull away, again fine no problems. I get the usual slightly higher revs in 1st (because its cold) but as soon as it decides to change to second, the revs drop so low it nearly stalls. Then it coughs a bit, and picks up as though nothing happened. Only does it from first start when cold, and will happen every other time I stop eg. at a junction or at a red light until it warms up. As soon as normal operating temp. is reached its fine and remains so throughout the day & subsequent stop / starts.

Checked for any codes - nothing comes up?
Has had full service inc. plugs, breathers cleaned, new camshaft seals, filters etc about 9k ago (oil done again recently).
Checked for any loose or frayed wiring

Running out of ideas now & its starting to annoy the pants off me...Grrrr!!!

Any help would be appreciated TIA
