Are you building up muscule or just want to get fat?

If the former then you need a tailored protein/carb meal plan specific to your training regime, if the latter then lots of pies, beer and kendal mint cake  :y

Just bought some on line as not in the lakes till the next lakes meet, come on Daz, get it sorted, and I want to book a static caravan for Miss Vamps and myself....... :y :y

Agreed - I have it (porridge) every morning sprinkled with cinnamon and a fresh pear cut up and added to the mix.  :P :P

In relation to the OP, I would have thought that pasta - in its various guises - would have fitted the bill.

I would also be inclined to avoid overtly fatty foods high in salt content and foods laden with sugar - as one sees in much of the processed stuff masquerading as food nowadays.

As the other D said earlier, dietary consultation should be further explored before embarking on any course of action.
