hi guys
             does my 1998 2.5 gtx have a seatbelt indecator on the dashboard that lights up when not being used

Seat belt warnings weren't installed on UK models, Europe only. :y

And not all country- /region specs, e.g. not in Finland  :y

But can anyone tell that would this feature work by simply putting the bulb in the dash? I can not believe they would have made two types of seatbelt locks (with and without sensors).

No, its missing all the sensors/controller.
