Interior Light
« on: 04 January 2012, 20:56:35 »

Hi guys, my interior light works when the door is opened.

But does not work on either of the switches by the light!

Any ideas where to start looking please??

Hi Colin, the switches are for the map reading lights and only work with the ignition on. Try pulling the headlight switch out if you want an interior light on without the ignition on :y

Also depends which courtesy light. Pulling the headlight switch will turn the courtesy light on while driving if you wanted, but as you say, each switch either side will turn its map light on.  :y

Right! You live and learn. Pulled headlamp switch out, and yes got interior light! :y

It is the map lights that are not working.

So why would that be?

Mine didn't have any bulbs in the map lights. Which is why they didn't work!
Fitted some(they're the same as the existing courtesy lights), and they work fine.

Was it the bulbs then? Or lack of them?
