Not really worth bothering with a 2nd hand kit, IMHO, unless you're just buying for the tank (check date of manufacture, though!).

The likelihood is that it won't come with the software that you will need to map it after installation. There's no indication what make it is. For most, getting hold of the software is not possible except for "professionals".

I would do as many have on here and get an AC Stag kit. £700 for everything you need and plenty of expertise available here.

2nd hand can save pennies, but as KW said you have to get software for it that may need a dongle to get fully working, and may have been "adapted" by a previous owner.  I used a second hand Stag kit for my current conversion, cost £120 for the front end stuff, so not bad , however someone had modified the wiring to the injectors that took me 2 weeks to sort out so prob cost me more in petrol used until I found the fault than buying a new kit.

Hey you might be lucky, questions to ask are what kind of kit/ECU, then see if software is available, and why are they selling it ?. They may have run into problems and are looking to shift it quick, or its old and won't work well. I must say the Stag software makes tuning very easy, you can see what is happening compared to my previous OMVL kit, where you had a few boxes to put in factors to cover the whole rev range.

Do your research, find out what you are buying. A lot of rubbish out there, tanks well past their 10 year life etc,
