IIRC (as it's come up here many times in the past) - you're legally entitled to work on your own gas fittings, but not legally entitled to work on gas fittings 'for reward' unless you're GasSafe registered.

So I think Rich is quite free to blow himself up..
I changed the flue on my boiler after damaging it when i renewed the expansion tank, got a real telling off from British gas engineer when he came to service it .

.... got a real telling off from British gas engineer when he came to service it .

The bloke who changed my electric meter tried to tell me off when I'd told him that I'd changed my consumer unit. I think I was more qualified than him ....... and told him so. He wasn't happy  ::) ::) ::)
