Renault clit 1.6 juddering after leaving to go empty...

Hi all,

Mate @ work has left her clit to go on red often. She did it yesterday and it was on red and started juddering. Filled up with just a jerry-can full.... still doing it. She says it feels like it could cut out at any time and also feels like it's strugglling to go.

any ideas? nackered fuel filter or pump?  :-\

Cheers Aaron. Is it because by leaving it to go empty often the filter has too much crap to cope with and rubbiash gets in?
