I cant get into mine by putting the key in the door either, it just wont budge, I carry a spare fob battery in my wallet just in case.

You need to turn the key hard right, feels like you going to break it, the button may not pop up but by holding the door handle open with key hard right door should open.

If your really not sure if you have the right key for the lock, put the key in and apply slight minor pressure to the right and back, you should see the button wriggle slightly, wrong key button doesn't wriggle.

Plus some WD40 helps.
