....from Slovenia.
Content Manager at the company i work for has a Apartment out there, so went for a week.
Fantastic country! Beer and food was so cheap, around £1.20 for a pint of beer. Food was dead cheap.... £3/4 for a big meal.
Petrol was around 81p a litre.
I booked a group N car from budget, (3 door VW Polo) got a free upgrade to group R, which was a Skoda Fabia Estate.
Was fantastic for space, got 4 people in with ease, 4 large suitcases, 4 rucksacks..
Roads where nice and smooth, cheap tolls too, 4 EUR to go half through the country. Although i found myself flicking full beam on at night when driving, even on the motorway at night when nothing was comming. I was having real problems seeing the road
Took me 2 days to realise what was wrong.... no cats eyes! Made me realise how good they are!
Due to the large amount of snow they get and have to use snow ploughs, they could not have cats eyes.
Damn did i miss my Omega though, No cruise control!!! the Fabia had a smooth ish ride, but nothing compared to the silky smooth of the Omega.
Fabia engine was rough and noisey... 70mph there was sooo much engine noise.
Got back into the Omega at London, soo much smoother, no engine noise. was good to be back.
The weather out there was very odd!! Heavy rain last Sunday, Monday was sunny, T-Shirt weather, Tuesday had a huge dumping of snow! Wednesday and thursday was very clear! Friday, Snow!
