My new sensible car.
« on: 12 February 2012, 20:15:12 »

Not my usual thing i know. I like noisy MV6's, MX5's, Skylines, all my old classic cars etc because they have character...that certain something about them that modern every day cars, even £50k new specced up new ones lack..to me but one mans bread etc. as many of you know Mum left us last July. We're a widespread family throughout the UK but when Father summons us we all congregate in West Sussex from here, Norfolk, Worcester, Manchester et all. Realistically i need a sensible car & like Volvos & VAG group motors...they have that build quality feel to them. Looked at a few recently & walked away from scruffy overpriced intergalactic milers. A 130bhp denzil would've been nice as they're quick & reliable but prices are daft to say the least so i settled for this one. Glad i did. 3 previous owners, the first for 7 years then father & seller. 89k, fully stamped book, 2 full fob keys, belts changed twice (as a matter of course), oil ~& filters every 3k, last just done with those new twin point spark plug things! 2.0 4 pot petrol, SE spec so air con/climate cd & tape, (sounds great) & got the average mpg up to 37. No induction kits or exhausts on this one.

Drives like 30k & will save my licence. Sadly the Skyline will have to go as has the Granada but Father will approve & it's really slowed me down, so sweet i don't want to boot it.

MOT til December & taxed till June... £1200.
