The whole reason for setting up the meet in the Lakes was due to it being a wee bit more central and allowing members from Scotland a shorter trip down, so moving the meet further south defeats the purpose of why it was set up. Personally, think stick with the Lakes or move it further north. Generally midges are worst on the west coast of scotland moreso from mid-June onwards. Prefer, the scottish midges cos they don't tend to bite me as much as those english midges ;D ;D ;D

Do you know of any good sites though a little further up, maybe into scotland? Or any the opposite side to the Lakes, still in England I know but still high enough ..

I know a few but they are closer to the mountains eg Glencoe, Ben Nevis, Isle of Skye, Torridon, Fort Augustus etc, etc.. They are probably a bit further than folks would want to travel.

This is June we're talking about. A bit early to rely on there still being a Euro, I reckon. ;)

maybe you should have a vote/poll who is wiling to travel to scotland or other area they would prefer..personally i would say scotland but then others may not be able to travel that far

Seems to me the distance up the country is fine. Maybe a move nearer the east coast? Maybe?

Sorry if I've missed it, but was there any further decision or thoughts for this meet?
