Look at all the "newbies" who bought it; the ones with zero feedback and who registered in the last couple of months. All these people buying it, added credence to it, and several people with some feedback bought it. A well planned scam, spent the last few months creating ebay ID's and used them to bolster confidence. I think he has several more similar auctions going.
Ebay is getting bad; I was looking for a hard drive for a laptop, and saw this 200G one for a very reasonable price.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330220824294&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=014 He said he had only just bought it , but ended up buying another laptop instead so didn't need it. Sounds fine, except I looked thro his recent auctions and found he had recently bought a 200G hard drive, that was faulty, clonking off the end stop, for £16
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190204902050 . So some poor sucker paid £39 plus postage for a drive that is basically stuffed.
The whole country is getting bad at this. I currently work repairing laptops, and we had a HP DV9000 in with broken LHS hinge (a known fault) which damaged the rear lid and front bezzel. We contacted one of our suppliers. Lee from Laptop and PDA spares, who said "Oh yes there is a problem with these, hinges are very rare, but I can get you a 2nd hand LHS one for £50". Except we went to the HP main agents and bought a pair for £12. So many people seem to be trying to screw people over prices, another ebayer, Barycrocker (?) is charging £185 for a working Acer 3003 laptop mother board, Hell, these are celeron M's so not a lot of good, and the price of a complete working one is about £200. Remember you can get a new laptop, not particularly good but new and guaranteed for £250 -£300.
Time to leave me thinks, when's the next boat to Australia ?
