Only three bolts holding wheel on
« on: 18 February 2012, 11:53:41 »

Is there a easy way to change the hub. Looking at the hub it is pressed on (no nut and bolt).
I've been told they cant be rethreaded as there is no thread left. But was told about hydracoils or something like that. You drill hole abit bigger and insert a spring type looking thing which actually works as a complete new thread. This is use to rethreaded sparkplug threads but has anyone tried it for wheel bolts.

front or rear?

Helicoil is the word you're thinking off.

I'd probably replace the hub with one from breaker.

The nut for the rear hub is on the inside, behind the Driveshaft. Unbolt Driveshaft and you'll see it :y

Would you know the part number, I seen one on vauxhall spare parts for £39 new. But not sure if it is right part.
