I broadly agree with what youve said,but if someone has no interest whatsoever I think its a bit different.For me the final straw with BJ was when he had run out of ideas and arguments he would resort to personal insults,which near the end got very personal sometimes.I felt it was time to be a bit blunt then. 
Tbh,I really believe that the left wing argument just doesnt stand up to scrutiny,so those trying to win a discussion from a left wing point of view are on a hiding to nothing.That might explain why it seems very common for them to talk over the top of others in discussion (see it on TV all the time) or become frustrated and change the direction of conversation/deflect questions by giving answers unconnected to the question,or simply become rude and abusive. 
Agreed, but for now I will play devils advocate. Do you really believe the right wing has all the answers ? sadly for me the current financial climate is utter proof that right wing capitilism is also a failed system. I preech no answers sadly as I am not qualified in these areas.

Actually it can be easily argued that it was left wing thinking (and interference) which started the mess.It started with the U.S. sub prime crisis and snowballed from there.The sub prime crisis was due to people being loaned money to buy houses that they couldnt afford to buy.Trying to lift poor people into better circumstances without the wealth having been earned/created to pay for it.Financial institutions were influenced/pressurised by left wing (by U.S standards) politicians into lending money to these types of people.
When the crisis reached this country it hit us very hard due to having had a decade of left wingers running the nations finances.
They had created utter chaos in every nook and cranny of the British economy,but it had been disguised by the city having a large and sustained boom.Once that disappeared the horror of what they had done was revealed.It was criminally negligent imo,and Brown,Darling and Balls should be serving long sentences at her majestys pleasure, if there was any justice and honour left in politics.
Also, the current problems in the EU can be very easily traced back to socialists trying to be economists.Giving industrial Northern European levels of wealth and accompanying affluent lifestyle to Southern European countries to try to make everything equal for everyone has led them to the point where they are now.They completely ignore basic economic reality (just as Brown did here)because they are arrogant,they see such things as old fashioned out of date thinking,they believe they are clever enough to bypass such trivial matters.
A country (like a household) which saves no money in the good times and continually spends more than it earns regardless,will become skint.There is no way round that,no matter how clever someone thinks they are.
