What I find intriguing is the very high numbers of "guests" over the past few days, very often more guests than members ...

Is this

1) true new visitors having a look around

or

2) members who want to "read" without appearing on line ... and why would they wish to do so ??

Nope, not always.  A guest is anyone viewing the forum who is not logged in as a member.
