I secretly hope there will be, if we can agree on a location, and find an organiser....

The last plans sort of died away ....... As said, I think it needed someone to suggest a date, and also to confirm location.
Would be a shame to lose this tradition, and think of all those midgies who will starve if you don't appear ;D ;D

I have tried several different sites (as thats what the majority decision was from the poll a while ago) which really give the same answer, that they don't want groups...

So I don't mind trying for more sites, but, would it be best to book the same place we have been for the past two years and put up with the midges? Else that site may get booked up too.....

Everyones opinions are welcome so ideas please

Don't forget to pick up all the pieces of rust before you leave the site.

Apart from the basic facilities, and midges first night (don't remember them 2nd night, but then I don't remember much of 2nd night), it's not a bad site IMHO

Try using a DEET based repellant. Midges  and mozzies hate the stuff and will not go near it.
Better option matybe to imbibe loads of the wobble water and then everything appears 'rosy'. ;D ;D ;D

Best repellant for midges is "Avon Dry Oil Body Spray" ... no idea why it works .. but it does. Was shown to me on exercise by an SAS lad ....and without a doubt he was right. It even deterred the midges on the Scottish West Coast .. and I thought those things were nuclear proof !!!

I'm probably not best placed to be involved on decision making, etc, but as a starter what about 29th June? I assume it will be a Friday to Saturday / Sunday? Too early maybe? Purely selfish choice but we need to start somewhere  :y

Yep, they were very bad on the Thursday. By Friday/Saturday there was so much Deet in the air they weren't as bad ::)

What we need to do this year is be prepared and make sure we have some of those Citronella Tiki Candles to put up a "Repellent Ring" ::) ;D

Of course... We could just take a bucket load of DLK Minger Repellent! I'm sure that'll do the trick ::) :D
