Spraying a fence ............
« on: 22 March 2012, 18:48:10 »

Does anyone have any advice on using a spray for fence paint. I've never done this before and would welcome comments. I've done the easily accessible parts with a brush - and was thinking of a fine spray for some difficult to reach parts and trellis sections.

Thanks

Dont do what my cousin done. Spray the fence at the bottom of his garden and when he went through the gate to do other side the paint had gone through and sprayed his neighbours BMW and the front of his TVR. ;D Luck had it he got on very well with his neighbour but he spent a weekend out there polishing it out.   :o :o :D :D ;D ;D

I have used electric Airless sprays to do my fencing with no problems at all.  :y
Obviously, common sense is required at to the weather conditions etc.
Being as these spray systems are low pressure, overspray is not such a problem as conventional systems ;)

Yes dont do it in a light breeze or you will go indoors looking like the incredible hulk or a bad sun burn all depends on what colour you use.   ;D :D ;D :y

I have used the low pressure big garden sprayer, the pump action type, to do this and it worked well, was a few years ago, which reminds me I need to do it again..... ::) ::) ::)
