Yep. Next time you see a Horse's @rse pointing at you, check very carefully. Is that a lens or a brown eye? :-X

Kevin

Speed cameras should be a deterriant, this is simply money making.

The problem i have is the DVLA still quote braking distances which were measured and establed in the 70's!

Germany has the fastest roads in Europe, but the driving standard there was just excellent, (apart from the english idiot in a 24v Senny  ::))

The motorway speeds were always 100+ but it felt so safe, everyone kept their distance.

We need better drivers... forcing speed limits to this level is just nuts.

Idiots who drink and drive, take drugs, don't insure or tax there cars, should be put in prison, not given a slap on the wrist and £30 fine.

It always amazes me on RoadWars, crazy driving, 70mph in 30 limits, playing with peoples lives, and they walk away with 10 hours 'community service'

feking execute the buggers!!  >:(

*rant over  ;D

Must be a lucky court room. Same place as the copper 'honing his skills' at 165mph.

Not if you buy them off a Scottish registered seller on eBay.

No proof, no ID needed.

That Brunstrom is a knob of the first order and needs to be quietly removed.

As one of the writers noted I bet virtually all the self righteous defenders of his policies do not drive themselves.

It appears that many speed limits are now being set artificially low to entrap drivers who attempt to make reasonable and safe progress.

How sake is it to be constantly looking at the speedo in a nervous funk about daring to go 1mph over the limit?

Makes my blood boil!

Come on guys.  Much as these tactics are outrageous, we all know the speed limits and choose to exceed them at our peril.

The nonsense spouted about watching the speedo needle save being 1mph over the limit is utter shite!  We all know when we're speeding by the margins defined as over the prosecution level.  69mph or above in a 60 limit should be obvious to any competent motorist.

I see idiots flouting the speed limit everywhere, with phones in their hands and doing lousy overtakes.  These people get POINTS - not prison - POINTS!!!!!  Three warnings (or cautions) within three years pointing out that you're getting close to the ban limit.

I reported a motorist last week for driving while holding a phone and he was blase about it.  "I've already got 9 points - you'll have to send me to court," said he.  "They won't ban me, I need my licence for my job....."
What most of the irresponsible motorists don't realise is that selfish driving in a car can and does kill.  Stop thinking about points, fines, shite like this and realise the impact that killing another on the road over these 'apparent trivial matters' has!!!

I accept that disq. drivers, uninsured drivers, drink drivers need harsher penalties.  We need more traffic cops, less cameras.  But this article DOES relate to traffic cops enforcing speed limits - not cameras.

For god's sake, people are dying, being killed, DEATH out on the roads.  Until you lose a family member or deliver a death message to the unexpectant families, maybe you cannot see how fu**ing dangerous the roads can be.  Excess speed is just one indicator of either complacency, lack of concentration or risk taking.

I know this seems like a rant from me but please guys, realise that you are far more likely to lose a child through death on the roads than from a paedophile abducting them.  Why the disproportionate amount of terror about perverts than these drivers.  Cars kill dozens of people every year in every city.  Speed is a factor- FACT!!

Using Google, just tap in "fatal car crash" + your city; see the evidence for yourselves.
