Ford fiesta help
« on: 03 April 2012, 08:11:43 »

My neighbour asked me to take her fiesta for a drive yesterday as she thought there was something wrong with it. Took it for a drive and found that when you pull away, 1st & 2nd gear changes makes the car juddery. As you engage gear (manual), it feels like it's struggling then picks up. Into 3rd and as you start to accelerate away it happens again for a second or two, then stops.

I can only describe it like it's miss firing or lacking power before finding it's feet and going normally ???

She had it serviced in October and had a speed sensor replaced. This was done because she suffered this problem, but obviously, still has the same issue!

Its a '99 V reg 1.6 manual fiesta, iirc

TIA  :y
