Ignition solenoid trick and radio power
« on: 07 April 2012, 21:10:34 »

As per the title really.

Had problems removing the key when in "P" (ok - let's not go through the whole "scouser and keys" routine again :y

Helpful OOFer suggested disconnecting the wires off the solenoid under the ignition barrel. Great trick and keys came out a treat. But now I can't turn the radio on. Not sure if the wiring I removed is somehow connected or if the radio has finally packed in.

Just looking for some guidance before I start wrestling with the radio and wiring.

It's a CDR2005 VDO if that makes any difference.

Thanks.

So in my book 2 + 2 = 5 duh

On/off switch is playing up but managed to get it to turn on and set the code so all is now ok again and I have music on my journeys.
