well i ordered my motsbility car in january did post about delivery times earlier,Anyway the car arrived this week and i have just collected it Happy NO !!!!!!
went to get it today only to find the car has been delivered without parking sensors as ordered and the nearside front alloy has been kerbed, Dont wory the salesman says we have arranged for the wheel to be repaired and we are going to fit the parking sensors when they arrive.
Hey a brand new car alloy wheel repair and then some spotty faced wana be mechanic drilling holes in the bumper words just fail me,!!!

i wouldnt get to upset its not as though its your car is it?
you only renting it for 3 years then it gets swapped.
in fact id bet money the wheel came of another car that someone was paying for.

All Vx motability should ahev parking sensors as standard.

They will fit the number plate ones I suspect (which are crap).

Twist there arm and get them to fit the correct park pilot system (its 13355927 for an Astra)

Nope your not the only one.

Good, sounds like a bit of jealousy to me - IMHO. I know that getting a "brand new" car isn't always considered to be a good idea financially - but it does make you feel good, and to have that spoiled by some t*sser in a dealership really grates and takes the shine off the event.

Something similar happened to my Father back in 1993. He took delivery of a brand new Cavalier Diplomat and specified the fitting of an official Vx towbar. When we inspected the car it was obvious that the clown who had fitted the electrics couldn't give a monkeys as the direct feed wiring from the battery to the rear was put through a hole without a rubber grommet. My old man was quite upset and even immediate rectification and a full tank of fuel as compensation did little to offset that.

All just my opinion of course ........

I think R1 was just pointing out that he personally wouldn't be too upset. I would probably be a bit miffed but it wouldnt bother me either. Just my op though

unfortunately not everything goes to plan. Get the wheel repaired and the proper parking sensors fitted, end of. Alloy most probably kerbed in transit.

No. I can honestly say I wouldn't be upset if the wheel was curbed a bit on a rented car

Until you hand it back after 3 years and they charge you for the damage! Just because it's rented doesn't mean you haven't got to look after it (quite the opposite in fact).
