Oil leak but where from?
« on: 28 April 2012, 18:05:03 »

I have a 2.2 estate and I have a oil leak top of the engine is dry and just to be safe I have changed the cam shaft oil seals , and rocker cover gasket . But still leaks . If you look down near the dip stick tube to the left of that you can see oil dripping down which ends up on top of the sump and drips all on the drive which the missis is not happy about so out came a tray. Can't see where it's coming from any ideas before I decide to remove the power steering pump and the air conditioning so I can have a better look at it . If all fails I'll be taking the thing out all together.
Any help would be nice. .... Mick :y

Only thing I can think of to the left of the dipstick tube (base) is the crank sensor, perhaps its o-ring is missing or something?

Does this seem to be about the right location?:

I've thought about that but not easy to get to with everything there . No easy way to it that I can see without removing the air conditioning pump right at the bottom hiding the thing .
