So, did we get any more than 2 of us wanting these?

Sorry for the delay, been a little busy!

Drive a car with them fitted & you'll miss them when you get behind the wheel of your Omega  ;) ;)

I spend all day in a Ford Transit.

When I get in the Omega, I find myself flicking the indicator stalk and calling myself a flucktard for not realising it has an inferior system to the Transit!  ;D

I'd do this upgrade in a heartbeat!

Just us then!  ;D

Shame.  Anyone who has driven a vehicle with this feature and spends time on Motorways would know it is a very good addition to have.  :y

I'd wondered why so many people were bothering with a derisory 2 flash 'indication'. It seems more of a 'yes I am cutting you up' signal rather than anything useful. I drive over 50,000 miles annually, so I do spend a lot of time on Motorways.

It is contrary to what the Highway Code says about signalling. Yes, I have checked my copy - part 85 is what you should be reading first.

I would argue that at 70mph, any more than 3 is un-necessary, surely by that time you are in the lane you were headed for.
I'm curious for a quote from the code, surely if it was that wrong they wouldn't be fitted & the feature wouldn't be called a "lane change indicator"?

As intelligent, thoughtful responsible drivers I expected most of us to have a copy to hand, so I wouldn't have to type this out:

Signals warn and inform other road users of your intended actions.
   You should
give clear signals in plenty of time, having checked it's not misleading to do so at that time
use them, if necessary, before changing course or direction, stopping or moving off
         cancel them after use.

So, that's signal before and during the maneuver, cancelling when it's completed. Even a lane change at 70mph will require several flashes to achieve that.

In fact, it's worth indicating well before you want to change lane; you'll often find the vehicle behind will also move over to make your maneuver easier/quicker/safer.

I'm sorry, mine's in the car  ::)

I was, however, always taught you should never attempt a manoeuver that could cause another road user to have to swerve, slow down or change lanes. I also leave my motorway manoeuvres until far enough ahead that my indicaters are more a courtesy than a neccessity so as not to impact on their driving- quite polite I feel
