Years ago in the late 70's, I used to lodge with Mrs Higson in Chorlton cum Hardy and she had an old Singer car with only several hundred miles on it. Always garaged. Week they bought it her husband died. She only used it to drive 1 mile to the bowls club and back. The battery was always flat. It was in mint condition and I often wonder what happened to it.
