« on: 09 May 2012, 20:43:09 »

Had a call from the guy who works for me this evening... He's had a little argument with a low post in a car park ::)

Caught the cill and sliding door. Slight rub on the bottom of the passenger door but I think I'll get away with it :y

Looking at new sliding door though and some work on the cill. Doubt I'll bother claiming... £500 excess plus the bump in premiums for the next few years ::)

Birmingham hammer should fix that door  :D

How is business? Must be good if you have more people working for you  :y

Unfortunately it won't beat out... Needs a replacement ::)

Business isn't too bad. Still quieter than I'd like but getting there :y He's the first of 3 I'll have working for me ;)

Off the top of my head it looks like replacement door (and catches as one has broken), either pull or cut out and replace cill, new sign writing. Trouble is, the side loading door is disconnected because of our custom fit equipment and air tight bulkhead (the latter is sealed to the door) so may have to pull all the equipment out to swap the door over ::)

Got some feelers out for a replacement door... If the price comes in right I reckon I could get it all done for less than the excess :y Although there will be some paint involved too :-\

They're the wrong shape and colour though ::)

And probably in worse shape than this one is anyway :-X :-X

Had a little smile though... He only started for me officially on the 1st and had to give me his P45 from last place. Handed it over and said "shall I just keep this?" ;D ;D

At the end of the day, no-one was hurt and no damage other than the van. Not a major drama ::)

It's useable (he's on his way to a job now) but not something I'm willing to leave long term... Bad image and all that. I'll wait until I've got hold of a spare van before I take this one off the road for a few days :) Fortunately all the paint that will be needed is low down so can probably get away with rattle cans :y
