Not really. He was a dangerous unsporting cheat, who got away with driving illegal cars for years and thus racked up many results he didnt deserve. As a lilfelong motorsport fan - I detest him with a passion.
He was an excellent racer, by far the best of his generation. He had, and still has, what the current crop of fairies all lack, a burning desire to win everything.

Granted, sometimes he was a bit to passionate to win at all costs, but then the other true greats of our lifetime, such as Senna and Prost, and Mansell to a lesser extent, weren't exactly angels ;)

Another good race, great to see Williams on top again. Well deserved win there, car looks good, no rain to help them there, fast in standard conditions. Lets hope for more from them.

Schummi being a complete idiot as usual, how can he blame Senna, then from about 1/2 mile back he just ploughed straight into him? He has talent, but he always been a complete n00b and continues to be.

Put him in a standard car, he turns out to be just a standard driver. His team mate, never world Champion, has consistently our performed him in all aspects.

For too long he got away with everything, nice to see him in trouble. Lets hope he feks off this year!

I saw this race. If it was a good one, then I haven't been missing out ;)

Shithead Schu still has the desire, thats what makes him interesting. And a great development driver.

Well said Tunnie. It was an open secret in F1 for years that Ferrari were allowed to run a very bent car, which gave him a huge advantage most of the time. For example, they had traction control during the period when it was supposedly banned. He was also allowed to get away with murder (almost literally at times) on the track. Many of the stunts he pulled would have resulted in a very long ban for any other driver, which is why imo his record stands for absolutely nothing.
It started at Benneton - they were cheating in a very clever way.The FIA (and everyone else) knew they had TC,but it was apparently buried too deeply in the computer software for the "brains" at the FIA to find it. Senna told Williams in no uncertain terms that Schumachers car had TC and asked them to protest it.Williams declined because they couldnt prove it.
Once Scummy and most of the technical personnel from Benneton moved to Ferrari the situation changed. Ferrari had been so long without winning anything that they were on the brin k of pulling out of F1. The FIA couldnt allow that to happen.F1 without Ferrari was unthinkable. The only explanation is that they were given a nod and a wink that they would be allowed to run a bent car to get back to the front, which is what subsequently happened..
It almost came undone when Irvines car was protested by Mclaren and found to be outside the rules regarding bodywork/aerodynamics. They should have been thrown out of the championship, but instead were given a slap on the wrist (and probably told to be more careful in future).
All this is motorsports worst kept secret, but no-one dare say it or print it because without 100% proof, they would be sued to oblivion.
Imo Ron Dennis was going to do whatever it took to prove and expose all of this and was then setup to almost destroy his team and drive him out of F1.
Ferrari sold its soul when it let the cheats from Benneton hijack its team, and Scumacher is the most hateful cheating excuse for a sportsman ever to sit his arse in a racing car imo. I have been completely convinced of it for almost 20 years and nothing will ever change my mind about him. Senna,Prost Mansell - all hard as nails, pushed the boundaries, wouldnt give anyone an inch they didnt earn the hard way,but none of them were cynical and dangerous cheats consistently over a period of 10 years.
As you say - he is now in a  normal car, built to the rules the same as all the others and he has been shown to average at best.

Mclaren did not have it as well Ralf. They nearly got thrown out of F1 due to the fact that Alonso tried to blackmail Ron Dennis into giving him number one status over Hamilton. Alonso told Dennis that he had Ferrari design info on his laptop and that other Mclaren employess also had the same info,if he didnt tell Hamilton he was number 2 to Alonso then he would use this info to make trouble for Dennis and Mclaren.Dennis immediately picked up the phone and called Charlie Whiting (chief scrutinerr for F1) and told him exactly what Alonso had said.If Dennis had been in any way a dishonest or cheating type of character he may well have been able to cover the matter up,but he immediately did the right thing and informed the powers that be.Mosley of course saw the chance he had been waiting for all those years and did his best to destroy Dennis and his team. >:(
Im a newcomer Ralf.Been watching regularily since around 1976. ::)

Ferrari always have it their way, Shumi always has it his way.

Lewis did not have quite enough go go juice to perhaps get all way back to pit, so stopped on track. So they could provide a fuel sample, playing it safe. Result? Demoted to last  :o

His P2 session should have been still valid!

Shumi caused a huge accident crashing into the back of Senna at extremely high speed, all down to driver error. Could have caused a serious incident, tyre flying off and hitting someone? Its possible, its happened before.

Just goes to show, that actually the man has no real talent. It was the car & team around him that made him who he was.

Rosberg, who lets be honest was never really considered a good driver, when paired with Shumi, thought he would be in trouble, out classed.

Rosberg has 41 points & is in the hunt for the title.

Schumacher has 2 points.

Think that says a lot about him Ralf, eh? Same car?  ::)

He rams people off the road (Barrichello incident) - When things are not going his way, he is very dangerous. Too dangerous.

Sooner that p1ick is out of F1, the better.

I take great comfort in the fact that he lost the chance to retire as God and continue to gloat for the rest of his life, but no, he screwed that up and he'll fade away as a complete has-been instead. ;D
