Careful packing ;D

Also, dont bother with TV anymore - FFS, I go away to enjoy myself, not watch trashenders.

The fridge is the only problem, and has to go on back seat.

Mrs lazydocker and I did a week in france in a 4 berth tent... Never again! I could barely sit in a chair inside it!

Then we progressed to a conway trailer tent which was fantastic. I bought it from an ebay seller, used it for 2 years and sold it for what i paid. It was old but reliable and fairly easy to put up, although it was much easier with 3 people or at least a second person who was tall enough to reach the top!  ;) ;) :)

We've now moved onto a caravan because i was offered a 5 berth one with all the mod cons at a price i couldn't refuse!

Anyway, now i've finished rambling! If you can get a trailer tent then do... Much more comfortable than a normal tent. Failing that, as has been said already, get one designed for at least twice as many people as you intend to sleep in it!

Trouble is with caravans and trailer tents are storage and silly speed restrictions (having been in a car twice where the trailer tent has not liked the speed we were going (70mph), I know the restrictions are there for a reason).  Probably precisely my Loo-knee got rid of his pikey wagon in the first place!

I like caravans too - all the stuff can be left in it, and you have your own toilet!

The only downside with tents. Make damned sure you go before you retire for the night!  ;D

Then again, I think my little jaunt over Stelvio pass this summer would not have been the same with a Caravan on the back. Not to mention the 120MPH blat up the autobahn that followed a few days later. ;D

My tent, which most of you have seen, and is known as the Greenhouse or the Anderson Shelter, is a 5 person, and is one of the few that I consider big enough for 5.

Cost £185

What is are good makes to look for? One like Timbuk Towers would be ideal I would have thought :y

I think Doug got his "Timbuk Towers" tent for quite a decent price from fleabay.
