2.6 Elite - Black Sapphire. A labour of love but it's worth it..

OK I know we all know what an Omega looks like ::)
Some play golf  ???, some go fishing  ??? ??? - I like photography  :y, and polishing my Omega  :y :y :y

A day yesterday under the gazeaeab...gazeee.....gazeiaib.... :-\  - canopy on my drive removing the final layers of what our winter had to throw at it.
Clay, cheapo Halfords machine polish with some Meg's compound and a layer of Lusso carnuba.

When you get that close to your paintwork - you can see that the tell tale signs of rust are starting to appear in all the usual places here unfortunately. What these pictures also don't show (phew  :P) is the gravel rash that is quite prolific on the front my car unfortunately - but it has done 150k.

BUT - this colour is my favourite  8) - without swirls the colour and fleck looks fanatastic even if I say so myself.

The photo doesn't really do it justice - but this just sparkles and actually doesn't look black at all.


Re did the centre caps this year with some black metallic vinyl wrap (badges removed and re-glued back on)

















A word of caution re Farmers fields - common sense applies obviously - but the gates are lethal as this one look a chunk of my finger when I came to leave  :-X :-X :-X :-X

That is a quality shine you've got there.  :y  I know what you mean about the colour, mine is Black Sapphire and takes on sort of a metallic Mauve speckle when polished.

You must have spent a fair few hours on that and it does you proud.  :y
