rear coil springs
« on: 02 June 2012, 18:16:55 »

Hi all   ordered 2 new springs for my ommy coming next week i've studied the" how to do "" on the forum and saw one bit with picture :jack up,support, use axle stands ,drop shock base and ease apart with standard car jack to release spring. Looked good to me anyone else done it this way? Any other tips would be great especially concerning rear levelling system when changing springs thanks all

The correct way is most definately not to use a jack to release the spring!!!

The correct guide shows the diff being dropped...

S/L springs are available from KYB and from memory last year were about £80.00 the pair.

if any one wanted the gm part number for self levelling coil springs on a 2002 2.6 it is 90295666 Andyc provided them apparently different types for various engine no.s so worth checking.
