I bought my flat in late 2010, at the start of the year the EU forced paint manufactures to reduce amount of volatile additives in Gloss paints, it resulted in everyone reformulating their paints. (although I did not know this at the time)
The Dulux White Gloss I used, went yellow
very quickly! It was a nasty yellowish colour you get if someone is a heavy smoker in the house.
This was a good comparison, the part on the left, was painted just 18 months earlier

I basically wrote a snot-o-gram to ICL paints after seeing the Watchdog program, which went through issues ICL had.
I received vouchers for 1 x 5L Gloss, 1 x 5L Undercoat & 1 x 5L Standard Matt Paint. But as I had already re-done the gloss a few months ago, I did not need any more, I sweet talked the service manager at B&Q to let me get the above but get a credit note to their value.
So I did, oddly, out of the 5L gloss paints (only trade ones cause of the size) varied in price considerably, naturally I picked the most expensive for credit note

I got £125 credit, shopped for some other DIY stuff I needed as I'm redoing bathroom, left with £40 still in credit
