(The K-seal bit I'm talking about, though a mud wrestling match between Kate's other half and Marie is painting a picture in my mind ;D)

I'm thinking about changing my ATF this weekend. I could put it in a paddling pool and save it if you like.  ;)

.. and regarding K-seal, the way I see it, the car needs fixing but logistics are a problem. K-seal stands a good chance of sorting that problem out. It would only have to run a couple of hours and then it could all be flushed out, and the engine is coming apart anyway by the sounds of it. I'd say it's worth a try. I'd only ever use such stuff as a last resort for a temporary fix, but isn't that where we are now? Even if it just got you half way to Shifnal, it becomes more plausible from a green flag point of view.  ::)

i have used it before and have a mate who has used with very good results !  the k seal is very good not like rad weld it contains copper particles which only go to leak and dont settle in system like rad weld so i would try it kate what have you got to lose ! car is not usable at the min and the k seal could sort it enough to get it to shifnal ! so go for it girl ! :y :y

When it's put like that... I had a very good experience with K-Seal but it was only temporary!! For the sake of £10 it's worth trying and seeing if it'll work to get you to Shifnal, but make sure you keep an eye on everything though!!  :y :y :y :y

Oh, and make sure you charge your phone, just in case!!  ;) ;) ;) ;)

I must confess to not reading through the previous topic thoroughly enough and I wasn't aware that the Firing rings were still intact!!
Must try harder!!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Will he notice?

I know I have to be prompted when Mrs TheBoy has hers done.

After 15 or so years, its the resigned 'you havent noticed my hair/dress/shoes/etc then!' type prompt

I notice if the wife has a significant change.....but not when she has a trim.....i.e. 10% of the hair length removed.

To her its significant, to me its not really noticeable.
