The RBS fiasco.
« on: 26 June 2012, 06:42:12 »

:D After speaking to my m8 who works in the RBS as a senior i.t. department head I am curious why, following his puzzlement that this new sofware upgrade which has supposedly caused the many problems was not tested thouroughly on a backup 'ghost' system first? The technology according to him was there  and there was no obvious reason why it could not have been used. Was it simply caused by somone in too much of a hurry to gain brownie points by showing how clever (not) they were? Will that person at the top of the ladder be made to fall on his/her sword for the cost to the shareholders and cost to all of the customers who have lost out by it?
It will be interesting to see who does put their head on the block considering they do love their , usually undeserved high bonuses........... ::)
