It's only mildly embarrassing, I expected worse.

My horlicks is kicking in, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out who set fire to the big dish.

The other half has scuttled off to bed with the thought that becks might get the job...

Why is it the beeb excels at having one commentator who has a good idea at whats going on, and an idiot??

Ive watched parts of it and was quite underwhelmed tbh.Just watching the Artic Monkeys playing. What an atrocious racket.God knows why they were chosen to play.Hardly living legends. Now singing Come Together - simultaneously singing and playing guitar out of tune.A tad embarrassing. ::)

Announcements in French before English - in London !!! Can you imagine the opposite happening in Paris ? Jesus wept, ffs.

The flag carrying speech just reminded me of the film "demolition man".

Poor old Mohamed Ali looks like he cannot have his afternoon tea and biscuits until  the ones pulling the strings have had there way.

I'm quite impressed overall!  :y  Nicely eccentric in a truly British way!!  :)

The cauldren was very impressive and a nice touch getting the youngsters to light it!!  8)

Shame about Macca, but they had to clear the stadium somehow...  ;)

Agreed... It upsets SWMBO seeing him like it as it brings back sad memories of a family member battling Parkinson's.

As for the ceremony... We had it on while I was busy doing some other bits. I actually quite enjoyed it (surprisingly!). I thought Danny Boyle did very well tbh, although it is a waste of money ::) Some very nice touches and some tasteful nods to sad events :y

Yeh, fair play to Danny Boyle, swmbo plyed me with beer and piza so I watched most of it and even enjoyed it  :y

On thing I did notice, who ever described Doreen Lawrence as a "peace campainer" and invited her to carry the olyimpic flag should be shot  :(
Vile women  >:(

Fell asleep just before Paul Mc Cartney so that was a blessing  :D
