Ncdc2015
« on: 19 September 2012, 19:07:39 »

Just had the battery off for a few days whilst being fixed and now the radio is showing safe...
I was under the impression that the code did not need to entered as the unit was paired to the ecu and I don't have the car pass...

Any ideas how I can get it to work? I've had the battery off before an it's been fine

Cheers

Been a run of this happening lately :-\ :-\

You are correct, it shouldn't need anything doing but (as Tunnie said) it sounds like something has lost it's pairing.

You'll need a Tech 2 session with either TheBoy or Kevin Wood but might have to get a car pass first ;)

Might be worth a trip to TB, might cost quite a bit in fuel/tech2 but you will have someone who knows what they are doing!  :y

Not sure if related, but as an observation, we have noticed that a lot of the Eeproms used in Philips radios of around the same era for storing radio presets are starting to fail at an alarming rate - many of the radios also use these Eeproms for storing code/pairing data. I guess they are coming to the end of their natural life?
