Thanks to all - finally got it sorted in my brain, it was me being stuuuuupid, moved on to music downloading from pc, and that works - NOW - any thoughts on playing music from phone through car sterio radio using bluetooth, is that possible?

Unfortunately, yes. One of my phones won't let go of the carkit, and every noise it makes comes over speaker

I am guessing your thoughts on Mp3s are not positive, but I was making an [size=14]assumption [/size]that the quality of reproduction though the Bose system would mean they would sound good ?
I am one of those who are happy with the sound quality from the in built system - i will have to cut back the hairs in my ears

I think the bitrate used for bt is 11k.  Never seen a hi-def bluetooth phone kit.
