Bilstein shock absorber question
« on: 29 September 2012, 10:07:33 »

For those that have fitted Bilstein B4's to their car, did you also purchase and fit the 'Bilstein B1 dust covers 11-122456'?

TIA

Csnt find an image, but I didn't buy anything other than the shocks.

I presume the dust cover is a gaitor to protect the upper chrome shaft? The oe one fits, if so. It's a straight swap, complete top shock mount parts go straight on.

Nah you don't need them, unless the old ones are in a bad way. But should be fine unless it's been off jumps, or sumat daft.

Might be worth a quick check though just to be sure. (jack up, then lift the gator to examine the bump stop)
