Always nervous about doing a cambelt, was doing well until, got wedge in without issues, stripped everything down.

Of course it was in TDC when locked?   

Anyway, got it all sorted & thats FatherT's 2.2 sorted for another 4 years

dropped a fraction, but stuck it in the garage, will let it cool and top up coolant tomorrow

Bizarrely enough, even after Marks DTM Calib fixed the lifters and EGR pipe, remember it was still a bit noisey, esp after an "energetic workout"?  I never did get around to checking oil pressure .  But it seems a few weeks of Italian Tune Up solved it, that I forgot all about that issue until tunnie's 3.2 started making similar noises
