Yes you need to be sure / confident. Check with them sooner rather than later. If something was to fail again in the future they probably wouldn't accept any liability.
A quick check would be to remove one of the large breather pipes from the back of the plenum. They are sometimes the most 'gunged' and if they are totally clear then maybe you'll be ok. This is only a very quick visual thing, and by no means conclusive. If there is some residue though, then you'll know for sure that the breathers have not been done.
