not really do-able, I'm afraid.

early cars have pre-tensioners in the seat frame
later cars have airbags and the pre-tensioners
even later cars have pre-tension headrests, too.

I'd hate to have to explain post-crash that I'd taken out some of the safety features......

Might be do-able if the gsi recaro's have the same safety features as your omega, then it might be just a simple remove from vectra sub-frames and fit to omega subframes.

. Everything is possiable if you want it.

Even if it is do-able, back seats wont fit, so your left with a colour / pattern miss match.

I may look a bit further into it, the pattern isn't an immediate issue as i'll come round to a retrim if i was ever going ahead  ;D just thought someone may have though of this before me. After some research i see the omegas had a very rare option of the branded recaros (yes i know all omega seats are recaros  ::) ) Take it the chances of me finding these for sale or anyone having some there willing to sell are mega slim?

You mean a set like these - http://www.ebay.de/itm/OMEGA-B-KOMBI-RECARO-SITZE-INNENAUSSTATTUNG-SITZ-1994-1997-/360491476794?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item53eef7673a#ht_500wt_716

They were mainly fitted to early Euro Sports Migs, some did find there way in some UK models but very rare, problem is they are all PF pre 1998 before the MFL / FL upgraded seats with AirBags and redesigned Head rest safety features.

Ive had a few sets now, in clothe and leather, think Ive still got a clothe set kicking around somewhere. The Leather set I had was for a TD Project but someone bit my hand off for them, kind off wished I had kept them as Ive never seen a set since in the UK, Pic below.
