Wow, well done...

Also, I think that the mini-facelift added a high rear brake light.

And most importantly, the Vauxhall logo changed - before the mini-facelift it was a flat 'enamle'-type bage on black background, after the mini-facelift it changed to a metalic badge!

Good read Marks DTM but am not sure now where mine comes in now. Mine is a 1997 2.0 CD spec.

Model Year 1996
Central locking and Anti Theft Warning System changed to radio remote operation
Airbag system altered from pyrotechnic type to hybrid version.
Air conditioning with climate control introduced.                                                   Standard AC on mine

Model Year 1997
Height adjustable steering column added                                                             N/a
Side airbags introduced                                                                                      N/a
New style plastic fuel hoses fitted                                                                        Possibly not checked
Steering wheel remote control function added                                                      N\a

I'm guessing mine may have started as a GLS or something. what do you guys think could it be a GLS 97 in disguise granted I have added a few bits since I bought it.

Perhaps your further findings may shed some light.

Possibly, it was registered in late '95 (I think), I'll get the VIN later, cheers.

AFAIK, digital climate control on pre-facelift models was standard only on elite spec - and possibly MV6 (not plod spec MV6 though)

The key thing to remember is the the date is the model year which is often introduced upto 6 months early at a convenient point in production (ie.. when they have burnt stock of the the old parts which are being replaced!).

Also, some cars may have been sat at a dealers for a period of time and be a 2001 (y) reg but a 2000 model year (like my facelift Cdx)
