Some drivers..
« on: 04 November 2012, 21:15:39 »

Was having my usual Sunday drive every 2 weeks, But on my way back though a Town/Village this mini cooper the BMW type with a private plate something like h6 yht overtook me even though there where children around on push scooters falling over etc, Even when i was going over the speed limit slightly he/she must have been going like 50-60mph even more in some places, I was shocked to say the least so thought I'd put some pressure on this Muppet put in S put my foot down when it was safe to do so caught up, I could see the panic as soon as i caught up the driver over took 2 cars still in Town with a car coming in the opposite direction narrowly missing the mini so you'd have thought id have lost the mini but, In my advantage a minuet or so later both turned off so mini driver was panicking again pulling away again now going out of a populated area onto country roads driving erratic behind this vans chuff couldn't wait to overtake as per usual, Overtaking in a dangerous place so I waited for a clear bit had to turn lights on full for a few seconds as it was darkening by this point finger slipped so it looked like flashing lights I'd guess, Next thing the mini was slowing down sharply ahead then turned up this narrow road turned lights off.... I call that payback for originally overtaking me in the most inappropriate place when there was no need putting lives in danger although reading back on that it way sound like i was being foolish  :-X

In short, you decided that the best way to deal with someone who's driving you considered to be below par was to lower your standards to match, and then push them even further still towards being even more reckless than what they already were???

I suppose you'd had to be there to understand my actions in full, But I never put anyone in danger from my driving, He/She din't have to exactly carry on overtaking in the way the mini did.. Possibly a bit of road rage build up release also (the mini)..

Sorry bud, the minute you said you decided to "put some pressure on the muppet", you more than doubled the danger level to everybody (road users & peds) that were around you.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not the worlds best driver by any stretch of the imagination.....and I have had the "red mist" more than once myself out there.......but I have no sympathy in this case as you (by your own words) exhibited an even worse case of bad driving than the original idiot you encountered in the Mini.

I have no doubt you made the Mini driver think twice the next time, and I have even less doubt that you felt one hell of a lot better at the end of it, but lowering yourself to the same standards as others doesn't work at all well in the long run.

Agreed, You know the feeling as do many your having a nice day then you get someone like that mini driven come along did what he did, Normally i don't take any action but as you say "red mist" moment took over and i wont lie i did feel good afterwords.

It is a bit silly. You seem to think you have taught the mini driver a lesson; while I could argue you caused the mini to drive even more erratically. Perhaps he thought you were a crazy person trying to catch up with them and crash into them etc.

I saw someone similar who got over taken erratically, then swerve back at the other car just to end up causing a crash.

If you caught up, clearly the mini cooper was not trying  ;)

I wan't breaking the speed limit, I'm guessing it was a cooper as who would bother putting a private plate on a mini one .. :)

Surely that would have been more embarrassing if the Mini was a desmond?  ;D
