went to the petrol station today and pulled up behind an Audi a4 convertible with a private plate that spelled cr*p which made me laugh, anyway noticed it had a flat tyre on the rear and as the guy(a 30 something c*ck!) approached I got out to point out that his tyre was flat and that he should put some air in , to which he said "don't see why I should pay 50p to pump up tyre" and drove off!

I just stood there in disbelief thinking what a c*ck, that's the last time I tell anyone their tyre's flat ;D

Air is 20p at most places around here, except for M4 Junction 47 services....£1.00  :o

Tesco Bletchley is either £1 or £2 (can't remember), but I think thats to discourage the local scrotes from being tossers.

Welcome to ripoff Britain. ;)
I think it should be illegal to charge for air for tyres.Its a vital safety issue.

The compressors cost a small fortune.  The Tesco's £1 (or £1.50 in some) is for Air and ScreenWash mix, and you get a fair amount of ScreenWash, so IMO, quite a fair deal for most people who dont have the sense to carry a bottle of ScreenWash and a 'Fag Lighter' compressor in the boot.
