In fact, that may be why I don't normally have any issues with the Omega when it snows :-\ :-\ The recovery trucks had to get to some locations to clear the road so you learn very quickly how to deal with slippery conditions ::) ;D

The boss frequently managed to get stuck though ::)

Works vans don't count imho ::) I f you don't break them first, someone else undoubtably will ;D
Like hire cars, nothing goes faster than a works van.

Oh how I could tell a story or two from my Transit years.... :D :D
I loved my (2nd) tranny. Nobody dared get in your way. And (usually) very predictable if ploughed into a bend a big ambitiously.

Not that I've ever had a tranny sideways. No. not me. Not ever ::)

Any mischief that went on inside the van, that is not for public forums.

I'm presuming you have sipped the odd cup of tea in the back then :D :D

Might have done..... :-X
But also managed a 360 in the face of oncoming traffice with my lane, downhill, suddenly blocked, on ice, on a 3 lane road........we all missed each other but it was one of 'those moments' though.....I was young at the time.... ::) ::)

I had a kid with me one day (not uncommon - can't remember if this was one of the office-tosser's sons, or a potential new starter), and the tranny lost all traction on a steep, downhill section, piroetting gracefully all the way down. I tried, but it was pointless fighting it. At the bottom of the slope, it all calmed down, and we casually continued on our way...  ...for about 10yrds, when he dived out of the passenger door to chunder ::)

Later that day, sent to a farm in the Chilterns (not far from where we have the Ashridge meets now). Farms there are notoriously difficult to find, with addresses like "Hill Farm, Berkhamstead, Herts", so you find yourself on these tracks up and down the slopes in the middle of nowhere, sliding, rallying style everywhere. Little kiddie was squealling like a pig. Opps.
