Chipping ECU

Hi I brought a ready to go tuned chip for my ecu.
Can any 1 tell me where the ecu is located and is it not to hard to fit and any reason not to?

ECU is inside the Triangular Box next to the Battery, not sure on the 2.0 whether the Eprom is soldered or plugged in, with any off the shelf Chip you fit at your on risk.

Would be interested whether you notice any performance, driveability or MPG improvements or changes on that Engine on Petrol or Gas.

Good point I forgot about the gas should be ok tho I would of thought?
