VALLEYS UPDATE:

Heavy snow overnight as forecast, though luckily it began just after I got home at around 0100 this morning.
All mountain passes were closed from 2200 yesterday .... and it's still snowing!

M4 and main road through our valley closed, and no buses or trains .... and I cannut get to work 8)
Oh .... and surprise surprise .... not a snow-plough of gritting lorry in sight.

Still, Mrs Seth's got a big pan of beef stew simmering away nicely for our evening meal! :y

A few pictures of the current situation here:

Looking down the valley

Only quad-bikes can negotiate this!

Rear access is somewhat impassable!

Our hoond loves the stuff!

Looking north

Seth's Tractor Centre's closed for business!
that's nothing new

watching the car park, its amazing how many people just climb in and drive off, without bothering to clear any snow off windows.

Just saw lady in an M3, get in do nothing, start to reverse, realised snow covered rear window. Got out, looked, then got back in.

FFS spend 20 seconds just wiping snow off!

Morons....

A good 4" here now.

Clearly the kids have been sent home, as they are all in my road, compacting the snow down. That'll be fun later, when it freezes.

Surprised you're not out there throwing snowballs ::)
Busy trying to formulate a plan to get my best mate's bike back here, as its currently in a hedge  :'(

2hrs to drive from milton keynes to kettering, people doing 10 mph on the dual carriage ways in mk and not much snow covering, and the amount of cars with no lights on was beyond a joke.

saw a woman earlier with a lot of snow on roof. she braked and the whole lot slid off and covered her windscreen she couldn't see a thing.

my only thought was if she was going faster and it slid down what an accident that would be >:(
