LJL would be my ideal second car.

Didn't you also pick up an unregistered ex plod estate that was in storage for years? Whats the plan for that one?

Now this i would like to hear more about!!

Ahem !  ;)

Sorry, I'd only just seen this...it's proving to be more aggro then it's worth with the DVLA and registering it. But we'll get there, eventually  ;D

Just stumbled across this thread. OP, if you're interested, I drove LHY in anger out of Taplow for a few years. Not sure I could provide you with much info, but let me know if you want to know more!  :)

Excellent, I'd be very interested...PM sent  :y

Did we enable the cruise on that one?  I lose track of these things more often than you lose the NCDC pairing codes!

I don't think cruise has been enabled. When you borrowed it, you mentioned you might enable cruise. But it's now got a cruise stalk and clutch switch fitted, but cruise doesn't work. We'll see if we can arrange to meet, with maybe a spot of lunch  :y

Well, I overpromised/under-delivered there then, as I didn't have a Tech2 at the time ;D

This is an old topic but relevant... I'm restoring an old Omega bobby car and I'm wondering how the rear blue lights were attached to the headrests in Josh's unmarked... Anyone have any ideas?

I'm loathe to just start screwing* because my passengers mightn't appreciate a 6 inch woodscrew coming through the base of their skull in a collision...

The headrests are foam backed fabric/leather covering a blow moulded plastic box. Self tappers such as those used in the centre console/dash trim would be an ideal size. Run the cable behind the fabric and out the underneath and cable tie it to the leg. Can then drop the wires down the side bolsters and into the boot/control wiring gubbins  :y
