Essentially, a meatloaf recipe , made with finest fillet steak lean mince, onions, peppadews (Cherry pepppers) brioche crumbs , tomato puree, worcester sauce and egg, with a layer of blue cheese in the middle of it....  (note the meatloaf beef is fried off and excess juices removed before making the mix....    )
geta LARGE marrow...   peel it, and slice off the top,  NOT halfway down...   but just far enough in to get to the core, without wrecking it's "structure" ,  spoon out all the seeds and stringy bits...  stuff with the meatloaf mix, putting a layer of stilton in the middle...

butter some foil (on the Shinier side)  , and generously grind fresh black peper on to it, and a tiny bit of salt, and garlic granules if you like, then put the "lid" back on the marrow... and tightly wrap it inside the foil
bake in a pre-heated  medium hot oven (about 190 c ) for about 45 minutes to an hour...

unwrap, slice into the required number of portions (we usually feed 4   per marrow) and serve with new potatoes , tossed in lime juice and butter.

Force of circumstance....   not choice.
